Abstract

ABSTRACT: Structure in conflict management refers to systemic conditions that shape, sustain, or resolve conflicts within socio-political contexts. This journal explores in detail how elements such as systems and sub-systems, state boundaries and ethnic identity, and network analysis influence conflict escalation and the prospects for resolution. Functionalist perspectives and field theory are employed to explain power dynamics and violence within failed states, as well as the role of the extra-systemic environment in intensifying tensions. Through a systemic and structural lens, this paper examines the limits of conflict intervention and the significance of institutional restructuring for long-term stability.
